Lettings Fees - Information for prospective tenants:
Once the landlord has agreed your offer you will need to pay a non-refundable holding deposit to reserve the property.
Should you decide not to proceed with the tenancy or if satisfactory references are not obtained you will forfeit this deposit. In the unlikely event the landlord decides not to proceed it will be refunded.
The holding deposit required will be the equivalent to one week's rent and will be deducted from the initial funds required prior to move in.
We will obtain references on each tenant through a tenant reference agency at a cost of £42.00 (inc VAT) per person.
Once satisfactory references have been obtained we will prepare the Tenancy Agreement. The cost to the tenant(s) for this is £156.00 (inc VAT)
As well as the first rental amount and the above fees the initial funds payable will include a tenancy deposit (equivalent to six week's rent) that is held and protected under the Tenancy Deposit Scheme to ensure that any disputes at the end of tenancy over the return of the deposit are resolved quickly and fairly.
If the tenancy is renewed beyond the initial term a renewal agreement fee of £55.00 (inc VAT) will be charged
At the end of the tenancy a check-out fee will be payable - the cost will depend on the amount charged by the independent check-out company at the time.
